Boss ME-25 Multi-Effects Features COSM Amplifier Modeling, Cool User Interface, USB, And More
Because guitarists can never have too many pedals, Boss has released yet another must-have for the season -- the ME-25 Multiple Effects ($276.50 MSRP), a compact, floor-based multi-effects pedal that packs a bunch of punch in one little box. The ME-25 has many of the same sounds as the Boss ME-70 and sports them in a simplified user interface.
The ME-25 features a full range of amplifier models powered by COSM amp-modeling technology, as well as an onboard sound library loaded with 60 effects combinations in various playing styles. You'll get distortions, overdrives, modulation effects, Delay, Reverb, Harmonist, and many more. The built-in expression pedal controls a number of pedal effects, including wah, octave up / down, and a freeze effect. Three heavy-duty footswitches allow you to select sounds and perform other functions, such as accessing the built-in tuner, tapping in delay times, and enabling the Solo feature.
To round out the package, Roland added a 38-second looper, USB connectivity, the option to download a free librarian to manage sounds, and a bundled copy of Cakewalk Sonar 8.5 LE for multitrack audio and MIDI recording. The ME-25 runs on six AA batteries or AC power.
Boss expects to ship the ME-25 in January of 2010. For more details, please visit rolandconnect.com.
