Roland MOBILE CUBE: Soon, Amplifiers Will Be As Mobile As Cell Phones

March 12, 2008
Roland MOBILE CUBE

Even though it's definitely more rectangular than its predecessors, the new Roland MOBILE CUBE makes up for its unshapely rectangular prism body with its mobility. This battery powered stereo amp can be used anywhere, anytime, for 15 hours at a time: by the flagpole at 3pm, in an elevator at 8:15 in the morning, underwater* -- the possibilities are endless.

The size of this thing is only roughly half a cubic foot [11.0625" W x 4.25" D x 7" H]. Add battery power, and the MOBILE CUBE lives up to the first half of its name. Plus, it's all bark and no hernia.

Roland has also packed the MOBILE CUBE with high-quality stereo reverb and chorus effects. This works well with vocal enrichment or guitar tone. Center Cancel even minimizes vocals when you have a music player running through it for your very own home karaoke uses.

The MOBILE CUBE also doesn't skimp on inputs. You can plug in microphones, keyboards, electric guitars, MP3 players and more. Stereo input ports are a rarity among amps of this size. This makes it great for party applications indoor or outdoor in addition to practice amp duties.

Fast Features:

  • Battery-powered amplifier for anyone, anywhere, anytime
  • 5W [2.5W + 2.5W] stereo power with two high-performance 10cm [4"] speakers
  • Inputs for microphone, stereo-instrument, and stereo AUX; headphone output
  • Center Cancel function for karaoke
  • Built-in stereo reverb / chorus, distortion and more
  • Dedicated strap included for easy carry around

* Do not try playing amp underwater
