Check out Roland's new line of V-Compact Series V-Drums, which includes the Roland TD-4KX2 and Roland TD-4K2. Now shipping, these compact, lightweight drum kits feature the playability and sound quality of Roland’s V-Drums, plus Coach and recording functions to help drummers practice and improve their skills.

Both the TD-4KX2 and TD-4K2 include the TD-4 Percussion Sound Module, which has editable, customizable drum and percussion sounds. For a more expressive performance, ambience effects optimized for drums are also included, as are the Coach and Quick Record / Quick Play functions for effective practice and instant feedback.

The TD-4KX2 features Roland’s multi-layer mesh heads for the snare and toms, providing the same dynamic feel and sensitivity of V-Drums. The kit's KD-9 Kick Pad includes a new cloth-designed bass drum head and is said to provide accurate triggering with natural response and feel. According to the manufacturer, the new design and simple, solid mechanics of the KD-9 make setup quick and easy. The new lightweight CY-13R ride (with three-way triggering) and CY-12C crash V-Cymbals are said to offer a more natural swinging motion and playing feel.

TD-4KX2 main features:
