Roland Kuit SoundLab E-Book Tutorial Released

The first chapter, Basic I, teaches the basics of electronic music, covering oscillators, waveforms, LFOs, and ADSRs, filters; how to build a basic synthesizer; and how to build famous synths such as the Moog Minimoog, Korg MS-20, ARP 2600, and EMS Synthi. The next, Basic II, covers the principles of additive synthesis: sync, vosim, formant synthesis, FM synthesis, phase distortion, cross modulation, wavetable synthesis, physical modeling, phase-lock synthesis, wave terrain synthesis, and granular synthesis.
In the Amplitude Modulation section, you'll learn all about side bands, tremolo effect, echo effect, complex circuits, RM and filtering, RM and feedback, control signals and RM, and RM and gating. Likewise, the Sample & Hold chapter goes in-depth with topics from pitch modulation, filter modulation, panorama modulation, gate modulation, complex circuits, and audio sync.

Finally this was released.I think Roland is one of the best companies.I use their keyboards and music gear since 2005 when i have started to play really good at piano and guitar.I can't wait to try the soud-lab e-book.
When I first read that
When I first read that Roland Kuit released the ultimate e-book covering "everything you would ever need or want to know about synthesis and electronic music" I was like "yeah, sure" but then I took the time to go through it, and I ate my words. It's a really impressive collection of techniques, software and tutorials covering if not everything you'd ever need to know about electronic music, at least most of it.

By building autonomous synthesizers and FX architectures will give one freedom to express thoughts in (self) organized patch structures. The use of this freedom of sound and composition, I explained in SoundLab I ©.

New tools to individualism.
While making these patches I became aware of the fact that there are so many fields, like e.g. astronomy, mathematics, DNA research, IT development and neurotransmitters, with comparable functionality.
It is in the way these fields are organized that we can recognize patterns.
What amazes me is the connectivity and parallels, in so many fields finding its way into
modular sound design now, by cabling these findings into patch architectures.
It was a challenge and especially fun to bring and connect this fields together.
Certainly it will be a challenge for everybody's creativity in finding new ways in modular sound design.
This e-book is not for lower level users. The modules are not going to be explained. The patch structures with accompanying text and order explain a way of thinking by themselves. You always can consult the G2 Editor help-file.
Patches, or parts of patches can be copy/pasted to new patches and/or performances to get new structures.

2012-05-04 Dutch composer/sound designer Roland Kuit has put together a comprehensive set of old school drum sounds created using his Nord Modular synths. Roland is also known for having written the interactive e-books SoundLab I & II interactive e-books about sound design on the Nord Modular G2.
In addition to a sample instrument containing all the sounds for auditioning purposes, you also get all the individual .WAV files and the Nord Sample Editor project file available so you can rearrange the sounds any way you want.
