Yamaha MG82CX Stereo Mixer Roth Mobot Homemade Effects Bus

Patrick McCarthy and Tommy Stephenson make up Roth Mobot, and they're teaming up with Alex Inglezian from Chicago's Experimental Sound Studio to make that rarest of breeds: a circuit bending album.

The process is thus: put all your gear on a couple big folding tables, hook everything up to the Protools rig in the booth, and go for it. Here, McCarthy explains one of the finer points of making do in the mix.
