Inside Royer Ribbon Mics - AES 2006
October 24, 2006
AES 2006: Royer gives Gearwire's Rob Warmowski the skinny on
the internal workings of their ribbon mics. Check out the Royer transducer assemmbly from the Royer
SF series; the ribbon is 37 millionths of an inch thick! If you've never bothered to take a look
inside your mic, you should give this demo video a try. Believe it or not, these innards are actually
fascinating to look at.
Check out the official Royer website for more info on their mics.
