Sabian Fierce Hats 13" Joins Vault Series Of Ferocious Hats

April 18, 2008
Sabian Vault Fierce Hats 13"

For those of you unfamiliar with Swiss drummer Jojo Mayer, I was introduced to his work by some drumline members who were ignoring the party going on around them because they were too mesmerized by Jojo's instructional video. His amazingly and automatically fluid style and impressive drum knowledge should instill confidence in the new Sabian Vault Fierce Hats 13" hi-hat, designed specifically for him.

The Fierce Hats 13" feature a raw-surfaced pairing with a tight, dark and semi-dry response. They match a medium-thin top with a medium-heavy bottom.

Jojo Mayer had this to say about his new Fierce Hats:

"We've got a very unique sound with these Fierce Hats. There's a raw aspect and a complex darkness that works well in live and recorded contexts. I've been playing prototypes for about eight years, and wherever I go people ask me, 'What are those hats?' Similar to my Fierce Ride and Crash, they're very complex, but great for almost any music. It's great to be part of the adventure of creating these sounds with SABIAN."
