SampleOddity Thrash: Metal Rhythm Guitar Sample Library For Kontakt

November 06, 2009
SampleOddity Thrash: Metal Rhythm Guitar is a new metal guitar sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Thrashers and metal guitarists alike will like Thrash: Metal Rhythm Guitar ($49 MSRP), the new metal guitar sample library from SampleOddity.

This multisampled library for Native Instruments Kontakt focuses on everything associated with thrash metal and black metal. Sounds were made on a six-string Schecter Blackjack C-1 guitar with applied distortion and processing, in E and drop-D tuning. SampleOddity notes that the variety of included round-robin variations and effects will allow you to create "intense" heavy metal.

Thrash: Metal Rhythm Guitar includes 561 MB of samples in all, with myriad articulations and effects, power chords, sustained intervals (m3, M3, P4, Dim5, P5, and m6), palm-muted staccatos, power chord palm mutes, single-string palm mutes, single note sustains, "crazy" vibrato, and tremolo. You'll also get effects such as note-offs, slides, scrapes, string noises and harmonics, along with five textural pad instruments.

The full version of Kontakt 2.2.4 or higher is required. To learn more about this oddity, visit the official Web site for SampleOddity.
