Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe: Tech21's Newest Recipie For "Delicious Bass"
The Sansamp Bass Driver pedals fill so many roles, it's sort of hard to pigeonhole them into one gear category. Is it a stompbox? A preamp? A juiced-up DI? An A/B box? The answer is "E", all of the above, and the newest -- the Bass Driver Deluxe - is a a preset-able floorboard processor as well.
The Bass Driver Deluxe features two inputs for quick-switching between two instruments with minimal stage-hand assistance. With 6 program locations, you can have three presets for each input, or all six on one. The integrated FX loop can be selected or bypassed for each preset. Smart!
So, yeah, it's a Live Floorboard. WAIT! It's also phantom powered, meaning you can plug it directly into the board for recording sessions [or an AP, I suppose . . . hell, why not]. It features the same all-analog path as it's predecessors, and the same controls; Drive, Bass, Treble, Presence, Blend and Level are all record-able parameters. Both 1/4" and balanced XLR outs are provided.
So what is it? Tech21, please tell me! What do you expect me to do, create a whole new shelf in my studio specifically for preamp / stompbox / floorboard / DIs? I need some kind of ORDER in my life! YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, TECH21!!!!
