Scanned Synth Pro is the latest release from Humanoid Sound Systems in the UK. This software combines "both physical modelling and wavetable synthesis" and the product literature claims the software is both "simple and complex, powerful and easy to use."

That bit of PR hyperbole aside, the features on this new release are fairly interesting. For starters, there's something called the "Psycho! Button" which the press release says is basically "antisocial behaviour in a button." Yes, that is an additional bit of PR hyperbole, (can you believe we used that word twice in as many paragraphs?) but this feature appears to be a glitch-friendly device so popular lately thanks to companies like de la Mancha and other software innovators.

More easily-definable features inlcude a polyphonic filter with cutoff frequency modulation and pitch-tracking, echo, and a large collection of professionally designed factory preset sounds (208 total).

Scanned Synth Pro is built for Microsoft Windows as a VST plugin. A Mac version is planned.
