Apparently I was wrong when I assumed that Scarbee just manufactured battered and abused dolls, as proven by Alicia's Keys, a virtual piano software created with Alicia Keys herself. Keys, who has won something like 900 Grammy Awards, recorded on her favorite piano at the Oven Studios in NY for further analysis.

The session was recorded with the best vintage mics and preamps, and after analysis of Alicia's tone and playing, Scarbee was able to craft a warm, soulful sound. Kontakt scripting wizard Nils Liberg, who I believe to be an actual wizard, used his expertise (magic) to reproduce the action and tonality into the virtual piano, which is virtually indisitnguishable from the real deal.

Alicia, who will be releasing and distributing the instrument herself, issued these comments:
