Schaller Oyster Pickups: Almost As Sensitive As Rocky Mountain Oyster Pickups

October 31, 2008
Schaller Oyster Pickups Glenn Weyant

In searching for a pickup that could accurately represent the plaintive wail of the U.S.-Mexico border wall as well as the high-tension scream of barbed wire, Glenn Weyant found that the Schaller Oyster transducer pickups suited all his SonicAnta needs.

Researching the pickups myself, I found this description on the Schaller website:

"With an extremely thin adhesive film, which damages your instrument in no case, the Oyster Pickups of Schaller is glued on. Playback true to nature of the sound was our target with the development of these Pickups. Technical specification and drawings find you, if it on the button “time…” below the picture click."

Then I went back and listened to this interview and had a much better idea of what was going on.
