Schecter Stiletto Studio-8: The Perfect Bass If You're An Octopus

September 05, 2008
Schecter Stiletto Studio-8 Eight String Bass

I placed a hidden camera in Gearwire Studio to make sure that Owen was working on those eight-string bass line transitions I commissioned him to write for the TV crime drama pilot I'm writing. I ended up capturing Owen giving a demo to an imaginary audience using the Schecter Stiletto Studio-8 and thought I'd share it with you all.

If you want more where that came from, petition your favorite national TV Station to option a screenplay called "Cops On The Beat: The Real Blue Man Group" which should be in their mailboxes as soon as I figure out how to get Microsoft Word to quit auto-formatting everything.

Another super review!!

By: Osvaldo Montero (not verified)

This one gets 5 stars for mentioning the rattles/buzzing/action issues on the bass, NOBODY gives to the setup the attention it deserves on reviews, all the bass reviewers assume the bass just need to be set-up properly, but in the practice is so usual to find fret buzzing issues on new basses after a profesional set-up, that I'm afraid that players are getting use to it and taking it as a normal thing!! Fret work is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART ON A BASS, at least in my opinion and I know I'm becoming a pain in the ass, but your reviews should be made after a pro set-up, so you can also give us your opinion on action, fretwork and attention to detail on this matter, which is so important and it's becoming so underated. Thanks for the review dude!!
