In honor of its 10th anniversary of business, sE Electronics has announced four new MI products to be released next month: the sE X1, the sE Project Studio Reflexion Filter, the sE X1 and Project Studio RF bundle, and the sE2200a and Reflexion Filter bundle.

The X1 ($169 MSRP) large-diaphragm condenser microphone features a handcrafted capsule, a 10 dB pad, and bass cut. sE notes that unlike other microphones in the same price range that are mass-produced on machines, the X1 offers hand-built quality and stellar performance. The company expects to ship the new microphone in December of 2009.

The Project Studio Reflexion Filter ($169 MSRP) follows in the footsteps of the Reflexion Filter, offering the same basic design minus the multiple layers, acoustic boundaries, and high price of the original, pro version. Instead of utilizing multiple layers, the Project Studio uses a patented polyester acoustic board lined with a high-density crystal foam, which has a curved ridge cut that reportedly performs better than standard acoustic foam. Like the X1, the Project Studio Reflexion Filter will be available in December.

If both new releases are of interest to you, then you might consider purchasing the sE X1 and Project Studio Reflection Filter bundle ($299). The bundle puts the two items together and saves you approximately $40.

For those who want the Reflexion Filter and a mic that's not the X1, sE Electronics is making available the sE2200a and Reflexion Filter bundle (approximately $499), which combines the sE2200a microphone with shockmount and the Reflexion Filter in one box. According to the manufacturer, these two items normally retail at $800 together.
