Sennheiser Mic Skins: Not Potato Skins, Mic Skins!

Sennheiser Mic Skins

Sometimes you feel very strong feelings for your Sennheiser G2 Wireless Handheld Mic. Sometimes you want to do something a little special for it. Sometimes, you want to dress it up in the finest customizable skins money can buy, because that's how we express our ineffable feelings. You're in luck, you hopeless romantic you, because Sennheiser just released a who;e series of skins to wrap your performance partner in to show (it) you care.

Beginning December 1st, Sennheiser Mic Skins will be available at all Sennheiser retailers, and every ew 135 G2 wireless mic system box purchased during the month of December will include a free skin.

The Mic Skins -- $29.99 US and up -- will come in a number of different options, including:

  • White Glitter (white and metallic reflective glitter)
  • Red Shattered Glass (red background with reflective metallic dots)
  • Shattered Glass (blue background with reflective metallic)
  • Black Shattered Glass (black background with reflective silver dots)
  • Silver Mirrored on Black (mirrored circles on a black background)
  • Dark Blue Velvet with Skull (dark, reflective velvet with studded skull & crossbones)
  • Dark Blue Velvet with Pink & White Cross (dark, reflective velvet with rhinestone gothic-style pink and white cross)
  • White Reflective with Traditional Gold Cross (white background with traditional cross)
  • Pink Glitter with Pink & White Cross (pink and metallic reflective glitter with rhinestone gothic-style pink and white cross)

If these non-permanent skins seem like a cheap way of commemorating your love for your gear, perhaps you'd like to consider Sennheiser's new Swarovski Crystallization Service. Four different options for giving your mic a "Park Avenue Bedazzler" treatment are available, and if $699.99 US and up sounds like too much to pay, then maybe you don't really love your mic after all.

A Swarovski Crystallization Service? Honestly I want my mic covered in Crystal. But I'll only use it alone in the studio... don't tell anyone please.
