AES 2006: Serato's Rane series of plugins includes compression, dynamic EQ, and graphic EQ. In the EQ department you can select any band and tweak any frequency. Talei Blomfield of Serato says the outer limits of EQ are artifact-free, so go crazy, take those extreme measures, and see what happens. There are two compression modes, normal, plus a dynamic EQ mode that you can use to selectively compress any frequency. There are plenty of powerful tweakin' tools in this series.
