Seymour Duncan SFX-05 Lava Box
August 09, 2007
Seymour Duncan's second featured pedal at Summer NAMM 2007 was the SFX-05 Lava Box. This is an amp-like overdrive; if you back off on your volume, the pedal cleans up like a good amp will. When you're playing live, you can set the Lava Box for a loud lead tone and use your guitar's volume control for clean and crunch - no additional effort required. Then use the “Rumble” bass roll-off control to manipulate the sonic character of the pedal’s distortion for a wide range of tones. But don't take our word for it, listen to Seymour Duncan's Frank Falbo in the Gearwire video.

Salesman

yikes, i cant believe
Idiot
I guarantee you that "salesman" will play circles around your ass. Maybe do your research a little bit, he's a far cry from "someone who's there to sell you something".
As for what he played, what's the matter, he didn't play the crappy Fallout Boy or crud metal licks you try to play when you go to Guitar Center and grab a $2000 guitar off the wall and crank thru a $1500 stack, but it sounds like someone making love to a marmoset? However, I'm sure your parents will still buy both of those things for you because they can't stand you and just want you to shut up and quit whining and saying how much you hate them. But, until then, I'm sure your DOD butt-metal pedal gives you all the tone you need to play in your room and sound like someone is humping a monkey, so this is probably outside of what you'd be looking for anyway.
