Shure KSM44: Strong Enough For The Road, But PH Balanced For The Studio
February 12, 2008
Shure's Tim Vear seems a bit nonplussed that his company's studio mics keep finding their way into live performance settings. "It's neither a good nor bad thing," he quips, resignedly. Buck up, Tim, it could be worse: your mics could be finding their way into NO performence setting! Don't go chasing waterfalls, Tim.
Anyway, Tim goes into detail about why the new KSM44 is so well suited to mixing vocals in a studio setting and why the dual-diaphragm capsule design is so useful.
