Joel Jones from Simple Amps has designed a series of three tube-based amps, all pretty much based on the Magnatone circuit. The technical specs are hardcore, but wait until you hear about the aesthetics, which Jones opens up about in this audio interview.

I've actually been helping these guys test amps at their factory since sometime in november.
