SKnote Roundtone: New Tape Emulation Plugin Released
Plug in to the sound of tape with SKnote Roundtone, a new tape emulation effect plugin for Windows.
Roundtone is a lightweight effect (in terms of CPU) designed to give any kind of audio track that special "tapey" sound. It adds subtle punch and color to every track or submix / mix while compressing the sound ever so slightly. Roundtone includes several algorithms (different tape, saturation curve, color, and response), an Emphasis control that adds color while preserving the high frequencies, an optional 2nd stage of saturation (head), latency-free operation, and more.
SKnote Roundtone features at a glance:
- Tape-emulation software
- Adds the sound of a typical tape recording to audio tracks
- Useful on single tracks (mono / stereo) and on submixes / mixes
- Light on CPU and latency-free
- Adds punch and color while gently compressing the sound
- Includes a handful of algorithms: different tape, saturation curve, color, and response
- More algorithms will be added in future free updates
- The Emphasis control adds color while preserving the high frequencies
- Includes an optional 2nd stage of saturation (head)
The new Roundtone effect is now available as a Windows (VST) plugin for the introductory price of $9.99.
