In conjunction with TattooJohnny.com, Slikz, LLC -- founded by Mike DeCarlo and Tony Antinoro -- wants to tattoo your guitar. Slikz features a line of tattoo art for customizing guitars and other instruments, and they've enlisted the help of famous tattoo artists to do so.

Slikz President Mike DeCarlo came up with the idea while recording an album in studio:

"I knew there had to be a cool way for musicians to personalize their axes - something inexpensive, but impressive."

Longtime friend Tony Antinoro, a fellow musician as well as a producer and graphic artist, came up with the idea of applying tattoo art to cling vinyl so musicians could "tattoo" their instruments. Unlike an actual tattoo, the guitar tattoos can be easily removed and even reused. Don't you wish you could stick your ridiculous tribal tat and stick it on somebody else?

After considerable research, Tony found TattooJohnny -- the largest collective of tattoo artists and art in the world. TattooJohnny hopped on board the idea for an exclusive line of "Tattoos for Guitars. President Mark Nelson of TattooJohnny offered his take:

"Tattoos aren't just for skin any more. We already provide tattoo art to companies for drum wraps and guitar straps, so when Mike and Tony came to us with the idea to put out a line of guitar tattoos, it was such a natural fit. We are excited about this new venture, and the energy that the Slikz team brings to the musical accessory market, as well as the potential that this endeavor lends to the growth of the TattooJohnny brand. Expect to see a wide load of theme-based guitar tattoo kits, otherwise known as "Tat-Paks," hitting the market this year. They're affordable, stylish, and made in the US.
