Recording in stereo can really bring out the depth of an instrument within a room. In this tutorial Dan shows you two different ways that you can record a grand piano in stereo. For this particular video the mics are the Shure SM81's which find their way into a lot of great recordings.

There will be two samples for each method. A chromatic run up all the keys as well as a chord progression that will later be used in a song will demonstrate the differences between the XY and ORTF stereo techniques.
