Boss SL-20 Slicer Brings Out Bill Holland's Inner Shredder

June 21, 2008
Boss SL-20 Slicer Summer NAMM 2008

The ever modest Bill Holland exercises the lesser-utilized "guitar" side of his brain and demos the wicked-sounding Boss SL-20 Slicer effect pedal.

The SL-20 Slicer is hard to describe, but I'll bust into my emergency stock of hyphens and try: it's a MIDI-tempo-detecting sequenced-gater percussive-harmonizing-looper. You know what, just check out the demo.

I can play two chords! After this one, I'm going to try to learn some riffs for AES. Maybe some King Crimson. It's always good to start with the easy stuff.
