Solid State Logic Mynx: SuperAnalogue Sound Two Modules At A Time
Solid State Logic gives a nod to the Mynx, a combination between a Manx Cat and a Bobcat, channeling its majestic feline grace into a desktop box. It brings the sound of SSL SuperAnalogue processing to your home studio.
SSL calls the Mynx "a simple, elegant and cost effective way to get the depth, clarity and characteristic sound of SSL SuperAnalogueâ„¢ processing into your recordings." It's a mini desktop X-Rack that allows you to load in two X-Rack modules for combined operation.
This allows, of course, a variety of options for a range of mixing tools. SSL recommends killer combos like the "SuperAnalogue Mic Pre" and "Dynamics" modules for max vocal clarity. "EQ" and "Dynamics" combine for some of SSL's legendary channel strip processing. The possibilities give way to numerous processing options.
The thick-skinned Mynx keeps your X-Rack modules in a sturdy enclosure of 4mm thick extruded aluminum. I think that means it's bulletproof, but don't just take my word for it. Try it out yourself!
