Shake things up with Soniccouture Tremors Vol. 2, a sample library that explores more unique ways of blending breaks, drum machines, live kits, and percussion.
The sounds in Tremors Vol. 2 were inspired by all the styles, sounds, and idiosyncratic producers to emerge from the dubstep and breakbeat scenes. Tremors Vol. 2 features 500 loops, each of which is part of 1 of 51 grooves. Kicks, snares, percussion, hats, effects, and every other sonic element is available as a separate loop, allowing you to break down a groove within your track, or to mix and match different elements of different grooves to form completely original combinations.
The grooves in Tremors Vol. 2 are sorted into three category folders: Busy, Down, and Tech. Busy features faster, more complex snare and hat patterns, while Down delivers heavy, crunking grooves, with lots of atmospheric effects. Tech is the category for techno and electro-influenced grooves, drum machines, and sharp beats. Sounds are presented in a tempo range of 64 BPM all the way up to 190 BPM.
This second volume of drums and percussion also includes Massive Monsters, a set of 20 presets for Native Instruments' Massive software synthesizer. As Soniccouture notes, Massive has become a ubiquitous tool for growling, talking dubstep subbasses, and it was used to create the bass sounds you hear in the Web site demos. The company notes that it was responsible for designing many of the factory voices in Massive and the Native Instruments Expansion packs. With Tremors Vol. 2, that same expertise is put to good use once again.
