SONiVOX has rolled out a line of downloadable virtual instruments (DVI) as part of a new series of DVI products created with the Tascam Giga development team. Tascam and SONiVOX created the series using Tascam GVI sample playback technology. The first wave of the DVI series has a range of virtual traditional instruments for purchase and download including nylon string acoustics, harp, bagpipes, and drums. The series also features electric pianos, vintage synths, and harpsichords.

The SONiVOX DVI series can be downloaded directly from the official website, sonivoxmi.com. The DVI series supports VSTi and RTAS, and also works as a standalone. Mac support is coming soon, according to the press release.
