Sony MZ-M200 Minidisc Portable Recorder

August 15, 2006
Sony High MD portable recorder
Sony's redesign of the MZ-M100 minidisc field recorder features a more ergnomic design (with a bigger record button), plus the ability to record at both High MD and regular minidisc formats. The file uploading speed is faster than the M100 thanks to the USB 2.0 interface, and the MZ-M200 uses a removable 1GB disc that can record 90 minutes in uncompressed mode. The compressed ATRAC3 format allows a whopping 34 hours of recording time! If you know someone who can do a guitar solo long enough to fill that much space, tell them to let 'er rip and get ready to call the Book Of World Records people.
For more information on the MZ-M200, check out Sony's official MZ-M200 website.
