Sony MiniDisc Survives The Fall, And So Does Skincage

May 05, 2009
Sony MiniDisc with Skincage

Skincage likes to take his Sony MiniDisc recorder and venture into the unknown for his ambient work. Generally, though, that "unknown" refers to the bounds of artistic experimentation, and not to the very physical ground he walks upon.

A few years ago, in his everyday guise as Jon Ray, Skincage ventured into a dark and foreboding environment to get some great ambient sound. Though he almost did some serious damage to his physical person, he and his Sony MiniDisc recorder survived to tell the tale. And, like films where men get hit in the crotch by things, it's a pretty amusing one.
