Sony PCM D1 Field Recorder

August 15, 2006
Sony PCM D1 field recorder
Sony takes portable digital to the extreme, offering 96k, 24-bit recording in the field. The Sony PCM D1 looks like something out of a Star Trek episode, with titanium features, a built-in preamp, a high-pass filter, plus a matched pair of condenser mics with 30k frequency response for high-def recording. You won't be able to hear all the frequencies you can capture with this field recorder, but your dog can!
To pick up more information on the PCM D1, check out Sony's official website for the PCM D1.
