Sparrow Guitars Megadestroyer: Coming Together For The Love Of Motors And Rock
The latest release from Sparrow Guitars stems from a partnership with Megadestroyer Clothing for a limited run of custom finished Sparrow Megadestroyer guitars. The name is quite a juxtaposition to say the least.
The two have common ground, however, as Sparrow Guitars are generally hot-rod inspired, and Megadestroyer's clothes feature skateboarding, motorcycling and rock and roll designs. The President of Sparrow Guitars, Billy Bones, had this to say:
“Sparrow and Megadestroyer were both founded in the culture of skateboarding, motorcycles and rock and roll music so we are excited to partner with them on this project. We believe fans of our guitars will be keen on Megadestroyer Clothing and vice versa.”
Speaking of vice versa, Megadestroyer Owner Jeff Brown basically agreed:
“The biggest thing about Megadestroyer is that it’s all about doing what we want to do. Megadestroyer is truly a brand of brethren.”
The guitar itself is a Rat Rod "Boss" model with a Tudor Black and Grey finish and the Megadestroyer logo with hand-pinstriped detailing. It features Grover tuners and Kent Armstrong pickups. Kent also does the pickups in the Ampeg Dan Armstrong models -- the AMG100 and ADA4 plexi-bass.
