Spector Forte4 And Spector Forte5 USA Model Basses Announced

January 04, 2010
Spector Bass Forte4 and Forte5 USA model basses feature a Spector locking bridge, Dunlop dual-design strap buttons, and more.

Stuart Spector of Spector Bass has announced two new handmade USA model basses, the Forte4 ($3,495 MSRP) and the Forte5 ($3,595), which offer "no options, no frills, all tone." The Forte4 and 5 basses sport Spector's signature contoured body, which was designed in conjunction with Ned Steinberger.

Both basses have that black on black cool, with a black satin finish and black hardware. The Forte4 is 34-inch scale bass, while the Forte5 is a 35-inch, and both have a Spector locking bridge, Dunlop dual-design strap buttons, Aguilar OBP-2 active tone controls, EMG active pickups, master volume, and pickup balance controls.

Furthermore, the basses feature graphite-reinforced, three-piece rock maple necks that extend through the body and 24 frets, on a Pau Ferro fingerboard sans the inlays. A Spector padded gigbag is included.
