Spectrasonics Omnisphere 1.1 Update Opens Trilian Sounds And Ups Support For Native 64-Bit Windows
Version 1.1 of Spectrasonics Omnisphere ($499 MSRP) is here, giving the virtual power synth Native 64-bit Windows support, core library integration with the company's last product release, Trilian, and much more. The 1.1 update is also compatible with Macs and Windows 32-bit systems.
If you already succumbed to buying Trilian since it began shipping a couple weeks ago, you will reap the benefits from this new version. Sounds from Trilian can now be opened inside Omnisphere, allowing for more extensive editing of Trilian sounds, and the freedom to create layers and splits with both instruments within the same environment.
Free for all current Omnisphere users, the 1.1 update adds more meat to the virtual instrument's bones. The Omnisphere virtual instrument, which combines hybrid real-time synthesis techniques with a library of psychoacoustic sounds, now offers Memory Management, Sample Thinning, and the "Lite Version" button for faster loading and auditioning of sounds. Its 64-bit Native support provides improved STEAM Engine performance while it allows for greater amounts of RAM to be accessed in 64-bit hosts. Omnisphere 1.1 also includes various interface improvements found in Trilian, as well as RTAS support for any number of processors on Digidesign Pro Tools systems.
Registered Omnisphere users may download the 1.1 update from the Spectrasonics Web site.
