The Springboard lives, and this is music improv of an entirely different nature altogether. Say you find a walker (you know, like for old people or maybe just for Monday morning) at the thrift store, you can put your piece of wood and your collection of gadgets and things on there; but wait, you can also use the legs of the walker to create the body of a stringed instrument. Coil spring and rubber bands work fine...
You can get everything from wonky metal to something like a koto, to, um, perhaps a trombone... all for free if you're willing to dumpster-dive a bit. And who isn't, really? Intrigued? All this and more is in our exclusive Gearwire video on the Springboard.
