Square State Solid State Equalizer Model One B: No-Frills EQ
Colorado-based Square State Solid State has debuted the Equalizer model one b, which boasts inductor-based topology, a high-speed op amp design, and an intuitive layout. The Equalizer model one b connects to just about any line level source, such as balanced, unbalanced, mixer inserts, and so forth. This new unit is suitable for use with tracking, mixing, or live sound, according to the manufacturer.
The Equalizer model one b has low, mid, and high bands that offer nearly 20 dB of cut / boost. In addition, the switchable low- and high-frequency bands offer bell and shelf shapes. The Equalizer model one b is the company's first pro audio product; it's housed in a sturdy, all-metal rackmountable chassis.
"This unit was conceived as a more usable adjunct to the EQ found on most small mixers," say the Square State Solid State designers, adding that, "the bell-shaped filters on the high and low bands allow for precision and flexibility usually only found on more upmarket EQs. [We've] returned to the fundamentals to build a no-frills EQ that musicians, engineers, and sound-reinforcement teams can use to quickly and easily yield pleasing results in a variety of situations."
You may now purchase the Equalizer model one b through ZenPro Audio. For more information, please visit the Square State Solid State Web site.
