Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass: Vintage Tones At Knockoff Prices -- Only It's Not A Knockoff
August 21, 2008
It's common to harbor qualms about buying a "budget" instrument, especially one that was manufactured "overseas" (code for "ASIA!"), but every once in a while there comes an instrument that makes you want to check your biases and trust your ears.
With that righteous spiel in mind, give the Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass a listen. For under three Benjamins, the Vintage Modified Jazz features the classic aesthetic appointments of the 1970s Fender Jazz Basses, as well as some growly "Duncan Designed" single coils pickups. We think you'll agree: this bass has no right to sound so good for such a low sticker price.

Pissing me off
WTF you twats treat bass players like second class citizens a couple of reviews by people who have not got a clue of how to play a bass. Shove it up your arse.;
um...
I'm pretty damn sure owen knows how to play a mean bass.
Oi.
I think this is a good, balanced, if rather short review. Bass players get a lot of abuse and some of them treated like sh.t by guitarists and non-musical people alike. This guy knows what he's talkign about, and can play well. Good review, I like this site...
CANT WAIT!
I'm getting this for my b-day!
