Squier

Owen O'Malley, towering over his subordinates in the Gearwire studio, declares his impression of the Squier Vintage Modified Tele Custom II as, indeed, a good one. You might be able to buy a decent guitar for the amount of money you can find in your couch.  

Even with his vast collection of budget axes, we never tough we'd see a rootsy fella such as Charlie Pickett owning up to owning a Squire Hello Kitty Stratocaster. It doesn't actually make an appearance in this video, which is just as well: I don't think your browser would be able to play it if it did.

Back in Britton Wetherald's day, student guitars weren't a thing to scoff at, and NAMM Shows weren't in places like Nashville. They were only on uphill slopes, and to get from one booth to the other took five hours, but nobody complained because at the time, nobody knew what digital equipment was.  

The Squier Classic Vibe Duo-Sonic 50s marks the first time the Duo-Sonic has been reissued since 1997, and the newest incarnation of the cheap-chic ax features some pretty cool aesthetic touches and design features.
