With the trial version of Steinberg Cubase 6, you can try out all the new features that were introduced in the latest major update to the Cubase 6 music production system, for a whole month.

Cubase 6 Trial provides enhanced MIDI functionality and a new audio and MIDI editing workflow that streamlines the process of making music. The VST Expression 2 is made up of Note Expression for drawing controller values onto single note events, plus updated VST Expression Map functionality and the Articulations / Dynamics Lane in the Key Editor.

As for audio, Cubase 6 Trial adds phase-stable editing and quantizing of multi-track drum recordings, a new transient and advanced tempo detection, and the ability to group several tracks for instant simultaneous editing of related events. In addition, the redesigned Lane Track system for both audio and MIDI offers convenient multi-take comping by clicking on the best parts of multiple takes to form a single perfect take.

Instruments and effects are also included in the 30-day evaluation copy. Cubase 6 Trial provides HALion Sonic SE, which includes a dedicated number of sounds and instruments and incorporates a high-quality audio and synth engine. Also included is the second incarnation of LoopMash, which includes 20 effects for real-time triggering; and the VST Amp Rack guitar tone suite, with which you can now choose from several guitar amplifiers to infuse your guitar tracks with drive, punch, and clarity.

The fully functional, 30-day trial of Cubase 6 is now available for free from Steinberg's online customer portal, MySteinberg, or on DVD from participating dealers. To activate the software, you will need an activation code, which you can request from within MySteinberg. To start your trial period, enter the activation code into the eLicenser Control Software (eLCC) that is automatically installed with Cubase 6.
