At this rate, there's a high probability that nothing is going to stop the iPhone from pushing its way into becoming one of the most important electronic music tools in the planet. The iPhone already has applications developed for it to function as a handheld or four-track recorder, step sequencer, and other applications. It's also no surprise that people are now hooking up guitars and other instruments for amp simulation programs on the iPhone. Stretching the iPhone's limits, the Steinberg Cubase iC gives you control over Cubase 5 and Cubase Studio 5 using your iPhone or iPod Touch.

The Cubase iC, as said previously, is a remote control application for Cubase 5 and Cubase Studio 5. Cubase iC provides you with essential functions for operating Cubase from a distance anywhere within your Wi-Fi network's range. These set of functions include transport functions, playback position monitoring, and control of the unique arranger track.

Applications for the Cubase iC include recording, producing, and live performance. Cubase iC will assist you record a performance from a rehearsal room, vocal booth, drum kit, or anywhere you find yourself too distant to reach your DAW. Since essential transport functions can be handled by Cubase iC, it then becomes a handy tool for listening sessions with other musicians and clients as well as recording and mixing sessions. You can also turn your DAW into a live performance tool with the Cubase iC, being able to cue and play your song from a remote location.
