We're big fans of Strymon here at Gearwire, so when the company invited us over for a peak at their newest pedals, we jumped at the chance. First up is the Strymon Lex, an amazing rotary speaker effect that models the physical mechanics of the multifarious elements that make up a classic rotating speaker cabinet.

As Strymon's Pete Celi demonstrates, the Strymon Lex achieves both authentic sound and behavioral characteristic by emulating the mechanical elements (as opposed to modeling the final sound). This video is in mono, obviously, but the Lex operates in both luscious stereo and a unique biamp mode that allows you to send the horn and drum signals to different amps for the most legit faux-Leslie stage setup.
