Tama Drums Mirage Prototype: Not For Sale...Yet

January 31, 2007
Tama's Acrylic Mirage Prototype
Tama put out an acrylic prototype drum kit on the floor of Winter NAMM 2007. Why are they showing off something that is not yet for sale? It's all about the customer feedback. Tama wants to know how people like the look and presentation of the prototype, and there's no better way to do that than to stick it in the center of a busy trade show and wait for people to react. Check out this USA-made Tama prototype and learn why Tama likes acrylic drums. According to the rep, it's the quality of the acrylic and how it is cut; those two factors play a big part in the final product.
More info is at the Tama official site.
