TAPCO Mix10fxP Powered Mixer Likes Being Called A "Lightweight"

TAPCO Mix10fxP

Part of the rush of new Mackie / TAPCO products that will be making the scene at Summer NMM 08 is the TAPCO Mix10fxP, a 1000 watt PA head with so many practical features, it's $500 price tag is almost pathos-inducing. "Hey little guy," you might find your self saying to the TAPCO Mix10fxP, "why the low self esteem? You know you're worth more than that."

Perhaps it's not actually an issue of confidence: TAPCO is Mackie's relatively new "budget-friendly" line, but the equipment they've been putting out really offers some impressive quality /re: price point. The Mix10fxP may the most shining example yet of the brand's M.O.

For starters, it's powered by a 500 watt per side, Class-D power amp that runs more efficiently than any other PA head in it's price-class (cooler and lighter -- more power that's easier to port). It offers 10 channels with XLR ins. The first six channels also offer 1/4" mono jacks, with additional stereo 1/4" jacks on seven and 8, and additional stereo RCA ins on channels nine and ten.

Each channel features a three-band EQ, as well as an effects mix for the on board, stereo DSP effects bank. Over 20 built-in effects add significant value to this already impressive package.

Finally, the Series 69 EQ is voiced to provide utmost clarity when paired with TAPCO's Series 69 loudspeakers. The TAPCO Mix10fxP will be available this September through TAPCO retailers.
