Jaimie Branch Is Cutting Records In The Old School, Literal Sense
June 04, 2008
Not many of us have ever gotten to see vinyl being pressed, but Trumpeter for Musket (amongst others) Jaimie Branch is going to master two of her group's new albums onto a Neumann Stereo Disc Lathe, and she's understandably (understatedly?) looking forward to having a front row seat to the master pressing.
Jaimie talks with us about why she feels that listening to vinyl is a fundamentally different experience than any other medium, and shows us some of the analog gear she's got in her home studio.
Visit Marc Riordan Trio on MySpace for many projects that Jaimie is involved with. Visit Pionic Records' official website for more information
