TASCAM DR-1: A Bootlegger's Best Friend

January 29, 2008
TASCAM DR-1 Video

TASCAM looks to bring something new to the table with the DR-1. Field recorders with built-in condenser mics are nothing new, but TASCAM's take on the idea throws in some new features.

A jog wheel on the front brings convenient navigation, and like their guitar, bass, and vocal trainers, you can plug in, slow down a song without changing the tempo, and learn a quick riff at your own pace. Now, anyone wanting to catch audio on location has something to do in their down-time -- learn DragonForce solos at half speed.
