Summer NAMM 2005: TASCAM takes us through a tour of some of their Firewire and USB I/O units. Start with the FW-1884, packed with eight analog ins, preamps, 100mm faders, inserts and line-level swicthes, ADAT and S/PDIF, four MIDI I/O, wordclock and more - all rolled into a sharp package and a reasonable price point. Follow that up with a look at its rack-mounted cousin the FW-1804 and then move to the USB side with the US-2400 control surface and the US-122 I/O. Video watchers beware: try not to become hypnotized by the faders on the US-2400 as they gently wiggle in a pleasing pattern...up...and down...and.....up.....
