Listen up -- AKG has unveiled yet another In Ear Monitoring System, the IVM4500 IEM. Said to offer even higher quality audio and radio performance than its predecessors, the new in-ear system would be a good choice for any live sound professional or touring musician.  

What's new from Harman? AKG's new IVM 4500 In-Ear Monitoring Package, a complete in-ear monitoring system for touring and installation sound which includes the SPR 4500 IEM diversity receiver, the SST 4500 IEM transmitter, and IP 2 ear-channel headphones.  

What's new from AKG? The DMS 70 -- a true uncompressed digital wireless microphone system that will fit the bill for a number of needs, including live sound, club sound, conferences, seminars, schools and universities, and other critical uses.  

The latest in a long line of ever-evolving multi-pattern microphone designs, the newest iteration of the AKG C414 XL-II features even more patterns and other improvements. So does it remain the reliable studio catch-all mic, or has AKG gilded the utilitarian lily? Engineer Michael Cooper offers his thoughts.  

Designed to meet the needs of beatboxers the world over, the new AKG BBB DFive microphone is the beatboxing-optimized version of the AKG D 5. The mic features an exclusive internal windscreen that prevents wind noise even in lip-contact use.  

Soon onstage performers will be able to get a compact, professional wireless microphone system for under $100. AKG introduced the WMS 40 Mini wireless microphone system, a smaller version of the WMS 40 Pro, which features an ultra-lightweight pocket transmitter.

When it comes to wireless miking, AKG's got you covered. At Musikmesse, AKG announced its new WMS 470 wireless microphone system, which is ideal for live music, tour sound applications, and more.  

AKG introduced its HSC and HSD lines of professional headsets ideal for broadcast engineers, sports and news commentators, and voice-over and recording artists.  

"AES" and "AKG" just seem to go together effortlessly, kinda like the transmitters and receivers in the new AKG Perception Wireless line. We got to see how easy these wireless microphone systems are to set up at the show in San Francisco.  

AKG is launching its new 99er line of installed sound microphones, kicking of the series with the CGN99, CHM99, CBL99, CK99, and the DGN99.  

Any engineer who's used one can tell you the AKG C 414 weren't broke, and therefore didn't need no fixin'. So is the newest version of this classic design -- the AKG C 414 XLS -- little more than a gilded lily or that rare case of a "good thing" successfully improved upon? Where Sones De Mexico was going, they didn't need wires. They had their AKG wireless systems on hand when they went to China, and it totally saved the day.  

To paraphrase the old Burt Bacharach tune: "what the world needs now, is condenser mics, light condenser mics." AKG heeds this call with the new AKG LC Light Condenser Mic. There's no price set yet, but all signs point to "affordable."

AKG's D4 incorporates new super rubber formulated shock mount material to keep things steady. We presume that its just regular rubber that got bit by radioactive spiders.  

AKG wants to mic your instruments on stage. The new D 4 is made for drums and percussion, wind instruments, and guitar cabs, and its convenient design caters towards unobtrusive and durable road use.
