It's update time for Sonar users. Cakewalk announced the Sonar X1d update, an important development that fixes bugs, adds ReWire 64 support, delivers more keyboard shortcuts and UI improvements, adds new features like QuadCurve EQ, and more.  

Cakewalk has been busy working on ProChannel Concrete Limiter Module, a new release that gives Sonar X1 Producer Expanded's ProChannel peak limiting capability and other nifty features.

Cakewalk is now shipping the Sonar X1 Production Suite, a collection of professional music production software and plugins, including Sonar X1 Producer, Sonar X1 Expanded, the PC4K S-Type Expander / Gate ProChannel Module, and the Z3TA+ 2 waveshaping synthesizer.  

Cakewalk announced the PC4K S-Type Channel Compressor for Sonar X1 Producer Expanded, which you can use for compressing and leveling sustained material on any backing track.  

Cakewalk has announced the integration of SoundCloud sharing in select recording software: the Sonar X1 Producer Expanded upgrade, Sonar X1 Production Suite, and Music Creator 6. Within these programs, you can now share your music with friends the world over, via Facebook, Twitter, and so forth.

Long-time engineer Andy Johns recorded exclusive sounds for one of Cakewalk's new Sonar Session Drummer 3 expansion packs, Andy Johns Kit 1 for Session Drummer 3.  

For the Cakewalk Sound Center, Cakewalk released three new expansion packs by Digital Sound Factory: Steinway Grand Piano, Vintage Keyboards, World Instruments.  

The first update and bug-fix for Cakewalk Sonar X1 is here, and available for free download from the Cakewalk website. If you're a user of Lynx ASIO interfaces, however, you might want to hold off on installing the patch just yet.
