Clavia Nord

We check out the new Clavia Nord Piano, a new, 88-key, performance-oriented and piano-centric keyboard from the celebrated Swedish synth-makers. Assonance: accomplished (also, alliteration).  

The Nord Piano Library now includes the sounds of a number of classic acoustic and electric pianos, including the Black Upright XLR, the Queen Upright XLR, the Bright Tines XL, and others.  

Players of Nord keyboards will be able to download 60 original sounds from the Chamberlin sound library, all digitized in 24-bit, 44.1 kHz resolution and made available in the Nord Sample Library format.  

Nord has offered a sneak peak at its new Nord Piano, a bright red, dedicated stage piano with 88 keys and a weighted hammer action. The lightweight piano boasts a fast, very accessible user interface, a number of different types of pianos, replaceable sounds, and a full effects section.  

The much anticipated Nord C2 Combo Organ was seen by the world in all its crowning glory at Musikmesse 2009. Nord is now shipping out this grand-scale combo organ for you to enjoy soon.  

If the multiple-personalities of sound within the Clavia Nord Wave are still not enough, Nord offers a solution. Nord wishes to unleash the beast within with Clavia Nord Wave Super Sounds.  

By the time I'm done military pressing my antique pipe organ from one gig to another, people are so taken by my herculean strength that they don't mind that I have no idea how to play the organ. If you're a real keyboard player and your muscles aren't as sweet as mine are, you should probably check out the Nord C2.  

The newest version of the Electro -- Clavia Nord Electro 3 -- is such a flexible instrument, that to call it simply "Electro" seems almost a disservice. With the added ability to incorporate samples from the Nord Wave library, the new Electro 3 is an almost limitlessly-expandable performance keyboard.  

We're not sure if there's a keyboard model that hasn't shown up on a Stereolab album in some capacity. I think it's safe to say that founding member Tim Gane is a bit of an expert when it comes to which keyboards to tour with, and which to leave at home.

The new Stage EX features even more memory, more sounds, and a clearer layout than its predecessors.
