Record in the studio, onstage, or anywhere really, with the cute and portable Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 -- the company's new two-input / two-output USB 2.0 audio interface. Its main features include Focusrite mic / instrument preamps, 24-bit, 96 kHz digital conversion, flexible monitor control, and a new unibody industrial design  

Focusrite announced its two-for-one combo console. The Control 2802 is a small-format analog recording console and Ethernet-based DAW control surface in one.  

Going right down the numbered line, Focusrite has introduced the RedNet 5 - Pro Tools HD Bridge. This new unit joins numbers 1 through 4 of the RedNet professional audio networking system, allowing you to use the entire range of RedNet analog and digital interfaces with your Pro Tools HD system, connecting them all via a standard Ethernet network.   

Focusrite introduced its new Scarlett 8i6 and Scarlett 18i6 USB 2.0 audio interfaces, which feature USB connectivity, Focusrite preamps, MixControl software, the Scarlett Plug-In Suite, Focusrite's Xcite+ bundle of software and loops, and more.  

At NAMM, Focusrite unveiled its new Saffire PRO 24 DSP, a 16 in / 8 out FireWire audio interface featuring real-time DSP-powered tracking and mixing functions, VRM (Virtual Reference Monitoring) technology, and more, for the home studio musician.  

With Focusrite's VRM Box, you don't have to physically move from room to room to check your mixes. The VRM Box provides virtual mixing environments -- living room, bedroom studio, professional studio, and so forth -- as well as a range of speakers. All you have to do is connect a pair of monitoring headphones.  

The latest version of Pro Tools is here, and so is the new Focusrite RTAS MixControl plugin, which provides Saffire MixControl monitoring within Pro Tools 9.  

With the Focusrite Midnight Plug-in Suite, you can own and use digital versions of Focusrite's ISA110 equalizer and ISA130 compressor for about a hundred bucks.  

Focusrite announced a new addition to its Saffire range of audio interfaces -- the Saffire PRO 14. This 8 input, 6 output FireWire audio interface offers plenty of I/O; bundled Saffire MixControl software; the Focusrite Plug-in Suite; and the Xcite+ bundle of Ableton Live Lite, Novation Bass Station, and more.  

Later on in the year, Focusrite will be adding to its ISA range of gear the new ISA428 MkII, a four-channel mic preamp and analog to digital converter with many of the same features as its predecessor, the ISA428, as well as many improvements (like a lower price).  

Focusrite's ISA One has gone digital -- The new ISA One Digital mic preamp / DI features the the ADC board, which was previously available only as an optional add-on.  

We all thought the Octopre MKII was a great idea times eight. That Makes the Focusrite Octopre MKII Dynamic -- which addes compression to each channel -- a good idea times sixteen. Or is it (GOOD IDEA)8²? Math jokes.  

With a vintage, red aluminum-like user interface and realistic-looking VU meters, the Focusrite Scarlett plugin suite is like a glamorous, red-carpet addition for DAWs.  

Perhaps you're not satisfied with the latest virtual drum instruments out there so you still resort to recording acoustic drums. The trouble with them is that they require a lot of mics. An instant upgrade option to accommodate that is the Focusrite OctoPre MkII.  

Instant coffee, instant noodles, etc. have always been viewed as inferior versions of the real stuff like brewed coffee and a meticulously prepared bowl of Vietnamese beef noodle soup. Could the same be true with regard to pro audio? Focusrite Saffire 6 USB begs to differ.  

The Saffire PRO 24 is impressive enough, right? Getting it featured last month was enough to make most readers get their jaws dropping and their mouths drooling. You better be prepared to pick up your jaw off the floor as Focusrite adds something new to this amazing interface.  

Ben Davis from Focusrite is a little giggly with excitement over the new Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56. Can you blame him? The thing has two channels of Liquid Pre technology right on the front, and revised software that's so simple even a video editor could use it. Maybe.

The compact Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 may look fairly unassuming, but this petite firewire interface packs an impressive punch. A variety of analog and digital inputs provides up to 16 simultaneous channels of recording and 8 outs, and the Saffire PRO 24 ships with powerful mixing software and a hefty plugin bundle. Don't say the British never did nothin' for ya (that would be bastardizing the English language).  

Fluid and dynamic, the Focusrite Liquid Mix has offered impressive solutions for those who wanted classic and vintage sounding mixes, without having to lug loads of rack gear around. Liquid Mix will take a step further in line with the classics and towards Abbey Road with 21 new Compression and EQ Emulations at no cost for Liquid Mix users.  

Spend 11:11 with Owen O'Malley and learn about the Focusrite VoiceMaster Pro vocal processor. There's a lot to take in, so if you'd rather take some psychoactives and see if this video matches up with Tool's 11:11 "Rosetta Stoned," feel free -- but allow me to make it easy for you. It doesn't.

The reason I switched from gold to platinum is because I like to flaunt my incredible wealth, but paradoxically, Focusrite's Platinum Series is their attempt to bring their high-bandwidth mic pres and compression to an affordable price point for product studios. Get a %#@^*!& platinum grill, man.  

The eight Focusrite mic pre's on the Saffire PRO 40 are only the beginning with this understated beast. 20 channels of I/O, including ADAT and S/PDIF, paired with a remarkably flexible, software controlled routing topology make for one powerful piece of British audio artillery.  

While the flagship Focusrite Red Range may be priced out of the reach of most of the proletariat -- about $4,600 for the Red 3 Dual Channel Compressor, for example -- the line has been used in one way or another on countless popular tracks by artists like Madonna, Jay-Z and Duran Duran, to name but a few. That makes it populist, right?  

We get the breakdown on some of the most delicious features in Focusrite Liquid Mix HD. Among them are the build your own burger style EQ with a side chain of expanded controls on classic emulations and a medium ability to to track in Pro Tools through Liquid Mix HD. If that made little sense, it's because I'm really just tossing around buzzwords here.
