Compelling work requires tools that equally match out-of-the-ordinary ideas hence Taylor Guitars has designed a signature model reflective of Serj Tankian's taste. The Taylor Serj Tankian Signature T5 acoustic-electric guitar has just been made available to the public for that Serj Tankian experience.

The Serj Tankian T5 (STSM-T5) has a sapele body, maple soundboard, and a black stain with glossy finish. The neck is made out of sapele and has a 21-fret ebony fingerboard. A matching red purfing outlines the body, fingerboard, and headstock. The nut and saddles are made out of bone, the bridge is crafted from ebony, and the entire guitar is stringed with Medium Gauge (.011-.049) Electric Nanoweb® Coated Elixir® Strings (light-gauge acoustic optional). Also present are unbound f-holes and a red energy wheel inlay for the fretboard and headstock based on Serj Tankian's design. Standard T5 electronics provide that needed amplification option for live performance and recording.

The Taylor Serj Tankian Signature also comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Serj Tankian himself, and it carries a price tag of 3198.00 USD (MSRP).
