For Musikmesse 2011, TC Electronic introduced the new RH750 compact bass head. The RH750 joins TC Electronic’s Bass Amp 2.0 line of products and brings to the table a whole new set of features designed especially for bass players.

The RH750 delivers 750W of power and 1,200W peak, plus a built-in chromatic tuner, three presets, and new tone shaping abilities. In addition to its compact size and high power output, the new bass head also offers a TweeterTone knob with "intelligent HF control." According to the manufacturer, the intelligent TweeterTone knob takes the RH750 tones from old-school vintage to crisp and modern bass tones or anything in between in seconds. The new RH750 is like the revamped version of the company's RH450.

TC Electronic's RH750 also includes SpectraComp, a "per string" bass compressor that delivers even compression across all strings. The head additionally includes TubeTone -- a re-creation of both a tube preamp and power amp -- and a 4-band tone control section. With all these features plus TweeterTone and tone shaping options, the RH750 is ready to hit the stage.

Three onboard presets allow bass players to store their favorite tones tailored for different basses or musical styles. They also make it easy to switch between vintage Fenders and modern active basses, or between funky R&B and classic rock 'n' roll tunes.

The built-in, chromatic bass tuner simplifies the process of maintaining perfect pitch of the low notes during performances. The tuner always displays the current intonation of the bass; with the built-in tuner, you can tune up silently between songs by hitting the Mute button.
